UNCSOM Orientation 2007 - Orientation Week

Welcome to Carolina! Your orientation week will be held from August 6th to August 10th, and during this time, you will learn a little more about the school, get to know who’s who at Carolina, and meet your MS2 advocates. You will all also receive your laptops, and personnel from the Office of Information Systems (OIS) will be available to help with set-up and networking. Orientation week will wrap up with the Student Activities Fair, an event during which you will be introduced to the various student organizations available at UNC. Saturday, August 11th has been set aside as the Day of Service, a day during which medical students will be volunteering at various sites in the area.

Some of you may already be looking into purchasing stethoscopes and ophthalmoscopes, but you may want to wait until the Medical Equipment sale which will be held from September 4-7 this year!

Finally, don’t forget to remind your families about the White Coat Ceremony and Family Day, which will be held on September 29th, 2007.
