Study Brief: Researchers at UNC Chapel Hill are looking to recruit pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (also known as “diabetes of pregnancy”) to participate in a clinical trial evaluating an Internet-supported healthy lifestyle intervention that begins in pregnancy and continues until 6 months after delivery. If eligible to participate, expectant mother will be invited to meet with the study team for 1-hour at the women’s clinic at UNC hospitals. Participants will be given a login and password to assess the Internet intervention. Additionally, participants will complete a series of questionnaires as well as provide a small blood sample at 4 different study visits.
You may be qualified if the following applies to you:
- Age 20 older
- Have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus
Factors that may exclude you from participating: If you are more than 36 weeks pregnant
