Clinical Sites

The Department of Dermatology at the University of North Carolina provides dermatological care at several clinical sites.  The primary site for the care of UNC HCS patients is at the UNC Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center located in Chapel Hill, NC.  As well, physicians provide care through outreach programs at three additional sites: UNC Campus Health Services, Piedmont Health Services, and the VA Medical Center of Fayetteville, NC.

  1. UNC Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center at Southern Village
This clinical site is a state-of-the-art facility opened in July 2010 in the Southern Village community less than 10 minutes from the main medical campus.  Physicians provide comprehensive dermatological care for all ages.  The Department is pleased to offer general and specialty clinics to our patients.

  2. UNC Campus Health Services
Dermatology physicians provide care to UNC students through the UNC Campus Health Services (CHS) on the UNC campus.  Medical and surgical treatments are available for the full spectrum of dermatological disorders.
  3. Piedmont Health Services
UNC Dermatology has partnered with Piedmont Health Services to provide specialty care to patients whose primary medical care home is through PHS.  Piedmont Health Services (PHS) has been providing health care services to North Carolinians since 1970.  PHS places special emphasis on those segments of the population receiving inadequate health care and whose access is restricted.
  4. VA Medical Center of Fayetteville, NC
For over 20 years we have extended our expertise to our veterans through a collaboration with the VA Medical Center of Fayetteville, NC.  We provide adult dermatological care and dermatologic surgery onsite and Mohs surgery at our Chapel Hill facility.
