We are planning an interest meeting on Tuesday, November 27 during lunch, and we would like to invite all interested groups to send a few representatives (they can totally be MS1s) to come and get more information on this Diversity Council. If your group is interested in promoting student partnership on campus, please feel free to attend this meeting and get more information.

The purpose of this Diversity Council is to facilitate collaboration among student organizations on campus, and to promote student sharing of experiences in order to improve cultural competency. The Office of Admissions has done an excellent job of providing us with a diverse class of students. We would like to take initiative to actively learn from each other and foster student unity.

The Diversity Council will be comprised of 1-2 representatives from each interested student organization on campus. We will meet twice per semester to plan inclusive, cooperative events.  Representatives will be allowed to present their group’s objectives for the semester and brainstorm ideas for combined events with other groups which help to fulfill these goals. If desired, contact information and resources will be shared among organizations.
