Description: This workshop is designed for professionals who serve in the role of language facilitator for children who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school setting. Content is appropriate for those working in a preschool, elementary, and/or high school learning environment. Participants will learn how the language facilitator serves to assist students with academic and social situations, as well as working one-on-one with the student to assist with learning throughout the school day.


Biography: Aubrey Dubois received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Deaf Education in 2002 from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She worked as an itinerant teacher for the public school system for six years, serving students ages 3-21. Aubrey received her National Board Certification as an Exceptional Needs Specialist in 2007. In 2008, she joined the Resource Support Program in the Office of Education Services to provide outreach services to professionals, parents, and school systems serving Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students across North Carolina.

1. There is NO COST for NC Professionals; $50 for out-of-state attendees
2. Non ASHA CEU’s will be offered for all workshops.
