Professional Outreach

Listening and Spoken Language training and internships of various lengths are available for professionals working with children who are deaf and hard of hearing and their families in the state of North Carolina. Professionals receive individual, hands-on, intensive training with an expert in developing spoken language through listening.

Graduate Training

Training and internships of varying lengths are available to professionals in the state of North Carolina working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families. Professionals receive intensive, hands-on training in the use of Listening and Spoken Language techniques. Additionally, professionals are provided opportunities to learn about the medical, surgical, and audiological management of hearing loss, including new technologies.

Summer Institute

Save the date!  CSI 2015 will happen Saturday August 1st-Friday August 7th.  Applications will be posted online in January.

North Carolina professionals attend at a discounted rate.  Out-of-state professionals are encouraged to attend as well.  Gather your colleagues and plan now to attend.

Tuition scholarships will be available on a limited basis. We will award scholarships based on availability of funds and need.  We will notify you as quickly as possible about your request.

First Years
