Auditory-oral skills training and internships of various lengths are available for professionals working with children who are deaf and hard of hearing and their families in the state of North Carolina. Professionals receive individual, hands-on, intensive training with an expert in developing spoken language through listening.

CASTLE is proud to be part of the NC Consortium for Deaf/HH Continuing Education. This program recognizes professionals, dedicated and commited to continuing education in the field of deaf education; particularly the development of listening and spoken language skills. Graduate Training
Training and internships of varying lengths are available to pofessionals in the state of North Carolina working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families. Professionals receive intensive, hands-on training in the use of an auditory-oral approach to developing spoken language through listening. Additionally, professionals are provided opportunities to learn about the medical, surgical, and audiological management of hearing loss, including new technologies.

Summer Institute
The Carolina Summer Institute in Auditory Verbal Therapy is typically held in June. The 12th Annual Carolina Summer Institute In Auditory-Verbal Therapy will be held June 15th – 26th, 2009. Contact Hannah Eskridge for more information.
