Preschool

This program is ideally suited for children of North Carolina who are deaf or hard of hearing with significant language delays. The preschool curriculum offers an intensive, specialized educational environment for such children between 3 and 5 years of age. The classroom setting is specifically designed to enhance the development of speech and language. We now have two classes which meet from 8:30-12:00 and from 12:00-3:30, Monday through Thursday. Additionally, individual therapy sessions for intervention of severe language delay are provided during the preschool day.

Contact the preschool coordinator Sherri Vernelson at svernels@unch.unc.edu for more information about the preschool.
