Special Interests (Medical)
In addition to his clinical work as an attending physician in the ED, Dr McLean is also Vice Chair in the Department of Anesthesiology.  The overarching goal of Dr. McLean's research program is to gain a better understanding the recovery process after trauma exposure, and to use this improved understanding to develop effective secondary preventive interventions to improve post-traumatic outcomes.
