The UNC Voice Center Team: Robert A. Buckmire, MD; Ellen Markus, MA, CCC-SLP, DMA; Mark C. Weissler, MD; Linda F. Hube, MS, CCC-SLP

The UNC Voice Center is a select group of experts dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of voice disorders for both the general public and those who use their voices professionally. Our skilled medical staff and advanced technologies provide patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, and behavioral treatments for all voices.

The UNC Voice Center seeks to be the preeminent voice center in the Southeast region, providing a strong interdisciplinary team approach to the care and management of patients with voice disorders.

The UNC Voice Center fills a unique regional niche by assembling a fellowship-trained voice surgeon, a singing voice specialist with a doctorate in Vocal Music Performance, and a therapist experienced in a direct behavioral approach to treatment of spasmodic dysphonia. We offer a coordinated and comprehensive medical and functional evaluation of the disordered speaking and singing voice in a single team-based approach.
