The
Center for
Environmental Medicine, Asthma and
Lung Biology (CEMALB) is
broadly concerned
with environmental impacts on human health and on cardiopulmonary
health in
particular.
The
CEMALB is
located in the
United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) Human Studies
Facility on the
campus
of the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill.
The
faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows and students of the CEMALB are a
group of investigators with
diverse research interests that include cardiopulmonary medicine,
immunology, lung physiology, cell biology, cell and molecular
immunology, molecular toxicology and epidemiology.
We
conduct
research studies involving human volunteers that are aimed at
understanding the negative health effects of
air pollution on the lung and heart. To learn more about our current
studies contact one of our research coordinators or click on the
following button.
We
also conduct studies in collaboration with the U.S. EPA. To learn more
