UNC Family Medicine Sponsors FREE Living Healthy Workshops

UNC Family Medicine, along with its community partners, is sponsoring a 6-week FREE Living Healthy Workshop designed to help you feel better.

Topics include: 1) techniques to deal with problems such as frustration, fatigue, pain and isolation, 2) ways to make daily tasks easier, 3) appropriate use of medications, 4) communicating effectively with family, friends, and health professionals, and, 5) how to evaluate and decide to use new treatments.

If you or someone you know is living with a chronic disease like diabetes, heart disease, arthritis or fibromyalgia, come and learn how to manage your symptoms and live a long and healthy life. Based on peer support, the Stanford University curriculum is time-tested and proven to help overcome feelings of isolation, frustration and pain by building relationships with other people who are going through the same thing and by getting access to tools and information that will help you control your disease.
