UNC Family Medicine to Create Model Health Care Practice

"It is our vision to create the nation’s leading family medicine practice," said Dr. Warren P. Newton, Chair of UNC's Department of Family Medicine. "A practice where the patient experience, care and environment will be a model for others to follow. We want the UNC Family Medicine Center to be a place where patients receive the most advanced personal care. A place that is convenient and friendly with all of your services under one roof. A place that is a national model, setting the standard for the future of patient-centered, cost-effective and compassionate care."

It has become clear that for us to meet our goals of improving our patient care we also need to make adjustments to our physical space.  Earlier this year, a small team of faculty, staff, students, patients and community members assembled to help guide the first phase of the redesign & renovation process. Together, the team has come up with a conceptual design.  Now we want and need your input. Later this fall, we will invite you to participate in a series of open houses to get your feedback and ideas to help us build the practice of the future.  If you are interested in attending or would like more information, please click here..
