Community Outreach

YOUR HEALTH Radio

UNC Family Medicine produces a weekly radio show co-hosted by Dr. Adam Goldstein and Dr. Cristy Page, nationally known physicians, teachers and researchers.  YOUR HEALTH™ provides practical health-related news and information to its listeners in a manner that is comforting, convenient and easy to understand. The show airs five times weekly on WCHL 1360 AM in Durham and Orange counties and features health experts, patient experiences and health topics in the news. Tune in on Saturday at 9am, Sunday at 9am and 5pm, or Monday at 6pm and 10pm on WCHL 1360 AM.

HOUSE Calls

UNC Family Medicine provides a weekly community service newspaper column on topics related to prevention and health. YOUR HEALTH™ Radio hosts have teamed up with UNC Family Medicine colleague Dr. Adam Zolotor to create HOUSE Calls, a weekly newspaper column that answers questions from the community about health and medicine.  HOUSE Calls is published every Thursday in the print edition of the Carrboro Citizen.

Community-Based Practices

UNC Health Care has a network of primary and specialty physician practices throughout the greater Triangle area.

Community Care of North Carolina

UNC Family Medicine provides primary care support to Medicaid patients.

Community Care of North Carolina is NC's Medicaid managed care program.  UNC Family Medicine, in partnership with CCNC, provides comprehensive medical care to many local Medicaid patients.  This includes pharmacy services, dental services and nutrition services for children, teens and adults.   For more information, please call 919-545-3440.

Carolina Health Net

UNC Family Medicine provides primary care support to uninsured patients.

Carolina Health Net is a collaboration between Piedmont Health Services and UNC Family Medicine to provide a system of health care for individuals in Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Lee and Orange counties who do not have health insurance.  Carolina Health Net includes affordable access to primary care which include pharmacy services, dental care, and nutrition services.  For more information, please call 919-545-3440.
