For Kids (when you are not studying. . .)

Take advantage of living in a pretty kid-friendly area in North Carolina. Parks, museums, camps, classes, etc. And great public schools.

Kidzu Museum: Kidzu is a very affordable, very local (on Franklin St.) and very cool museum for children under 8. They change the themes periodically throughout the year and everything is hands-on. Good to visit with you kids on an "off" weekend.
Marbles Museum: Located in Raleigh, this is a nice, big museum great for birthday parties. Very fun.
Town of Carrboro Recreation and Parks: Check out all the classes and activities that are offered locally and often at a discount for the income-eligible student family.
