The University's Event Registration System allows departments to accept online event registrations from those within and outside of the UNC community. Through coordination with the School of Medicine's Office of Finance and Business Operations (FBO), departments may use the Event Registration System to accept credit card payments. If you plan to accept credit card payments for an event, you must use the UNC Event Registration System.
The Event Registration System allows three payment options: 1) FRS account number, 2) check, and 3) credit card. ONLY CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS ARE MANAGED BY FBO. FBO will not receive checks for registrations, or process journal entries for registrations paid for by an account number; the department is solely responsible for payments and refunds by check and account number.
Regarding credit card payments
The School of Medicine has a single merchant account to accept credit card payments for all event registrations. This merchant account is managed by Leslie Gray in FBO. Once the credit card payment is received, Leslie will deposit the money to the FRS account number provided by the department. (This account number is a required field when the event is created).
To request access to create events that accept credit cards in the UNC Event Registration System, please complete and submit the form below. You will be contacted when your access is established. Only request access through FBO if you will accept credit cards.
