Research Interests

I graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry from MIT in 2008 and a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from UNC-CH in 2014.  As a graduate student at UNC, I designed a high-throughput screening assay for the discovery of novel molecules that bind and regulate AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK).  As a postdoctoral researcher in the Gray Lab, I am working on a project to identify safe and effective gene therapies for Rett Syndrome, a neurodevelopmental disorder that is almost exclusively diagnosed in females.
