Dr. Tsagaratou’s research interests are focused on epigenetic and transcriptional regulation in T cell differentiation, function and disease.

Ageliki Tsagaratou

Ageliki received her BSc degree in Biology from the National and Kapodistrian University (Athens, Greece) in 2004 and pursued her PhD at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the laboratory of Dr. George Mosialos where she focused her research on truncation of the catalytic domain of the cylindromatosis (CYLD) tumor suppressor.  Dr. Tsagaratou was a postdoctoral research fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Anjana Rao (La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology) from 2010-2014 and has served as an Instructor at the same institution since 2014.  Her research program at La Jolla focused on T cell development and differentiation.  In addition to her appointment in Genetics, Dr. Tsagaratou will be a member of the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Center for Inflammatory Diseases and the Institute of Inflammatory Diseases.
