Research Interests

Dr. Bataller has focused his clinical work in patients with metabolic liver diseases (alcoholic and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis.) He has expertise in both pre-transplant and transplanted liver patients.  His research interests include of clinical and translational studies in patients with liver disease as well as laboratory work with experimental models of liver injury to identify new targets for therapy.
