Biography

 

Dr. Weist joined the faculty of the Division of Speech and Hearing in August of 2022.  She has spent her career in academic settings providing patient-centered care across the lifespan and teaching in both the classroom and the clinic.  Her interests include assessment and intervention in hearing and balance disorders and advocating for audiologic services across the lifespan.  Currently, Dr. Weist works in both the clinic and classroom and is the program coordinator for the UNC Au.D. graduate program.

She is a licensed audiologist in North Carolina and is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, American Speech-Language Hearing Association, North Carolina Audiology Association, and IDA Institute.  While practicing in Florida, Dr. Weist served on the board of directors for the Florida Academy of Audiology for over ten years and has served on the board of directors for the American Academy of Audiology.  Outside of Audiology she enjoys spending time hiking the trails of North Carolina and beyond and is huge Pitt Panther fan.
