For Physicians
The Honduran Health Alliance is always eager to find physicians
interested in international health and education to serve as
preceptors. Although proficiency in Spanish is ideal, students can
serve as interpreters in clinic for physicians with only minimal
language skills. Interested physicians are invited to spend
the entire month of July with HHA, but we recognize that is often
not possible. At a minimum, physician responsibilities include working
with another US physician to precept 4th year medical students for 6
days of clinic (usually the second week of July). One physician is also
needed at the beginning of the fourth week of July when the labs are
returned to go over results and develop treatment plans. Please
see this link to HHA preceptor guide
for more details.
If you are interested in serving as a preceptor or being involved in any other way, please email the HHA at hha@listserv.med.unc.edu
