A. Applications for membership on the Honor System will be accepted in the fall of each year. New Honor Court Members will be selected by the SoM Honor Court Vice-Chair and the Graduate and Professional Court Chair. New AG Staff Members will be selected by the SoM Deputy AG and the Graduate and Professional AG. Membership is contingent on completion of adequate training.
B. In the event that the current SoM Deputy AG/Vice-Chair does not seek reappointment, a new SoM Deputy AG/Vice-Chair may be chosen in the spring from qualified SoM students on the Honor Court/AG Staff. Appointment of the new SoM Deputy AG/Vice-Chair will be by the outgoing SoM Deputy AG/Vice-Chair and the Graduate and Professional AG/Vice-Chair.
C. In the event that the current SoM Deputy AG/Vice-Chair seeks reappointment, s/he will submit an application for the position along with other qualified SoM students (a minimum of 1 year of service on the AG Staff for Deputy AG position, and a minimum of 1 semester service on Honor Court for Vice-Chair position). These applications will be reviewed by active Honor System members from the SoM. A minimum of 2/3 of all active Honor System members from the SoM must vote on candidates, and the candidate with the majority (>50%) vote will become SoM Deputy AG/Vice-Chair. In case no candidate receives a majority of votes in the primary, voting will go to run-offs between the two candidates receiving the most votes, with the one candidate receiving the majority (>50%) vote becoming SoM Deputy AG/Vice-Chair—a minimum of 2/3 of all active Honor System members from the SoM must also vote in run-offs. This appointment shall be subject to the approval of the Graduate and Professional AG/Vice-Chair.
