- The maximum term of appointment for a Postdoctoral Scholar is five years. Following this five-year training period, a Postdoctoral Scholar must either be moved into an established position or separated with a minimum ninety calendar days notice in advance of the five year maximum.

Exit/Termination/Transfer Checklist for all SOM employees (EPA Faculty & Non-Faculty, SPA, Temporary/Student/Visitor, and Post-Doc/Fellows) - to be completed by the employee's last workday. The HR Facilitator should begin working to complete the form within thirty days of the employee's planned departure date or as soon as a departure date is known.
New Hire Confidentiality Statements:
- SOM Confidentiality Statement - to be signed by all new hire SOM employees
- UNC Health Care Confidentiality Statement - to be signed by all new hire SOM employees that have access to UNC Health Care information.
