Nigerian hematologist receives ISTH fellowship to study at UNC-Chapel Hill

Dr. Helen C. Okoye of Nigeria has received a Reach-the-World Fellowship offered by the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis to receive training at the UNC-Chapel Hill Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center.

Dr. Okoye was one of three hematologists chosen to receive a Reach-the-World Fellowship for 2014.  She is a resident in the Department of Haematology and Blood Transfusion at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Port Harcourt, Nigeria.  Dr. Okoye shared her thoughts on receiving the fellowship and plans on future research in a recent ISTH newsletter.  See this link for the complete story:   http://www.isth.org/?page=enewsrtwOkoye#
