The UNC TarHealers walker team raised $1,845 for Hemophilia of North Carolina, the state chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation.

The UNC TarHealers, composed of staff members from the UNC-Chapel Hill hemophilia treatment center and their friends and families, participated in the October 20, 2012 North Carolina hemophilia walk at Lake Crabtree County Park in Morrisville. The walk was wildly successful, with a total of over $100,000 raised, vastly exceeding the $80,000 goal for the fundraising event.
