UNC users:
Trained users
- Consultation: $55/hour
This rate will be used when an investigator starts a new project. The first consultation (up to one hour) is free of charge.
- Walk-up lab equipment use: $9/hour
This rate will apply to a trained user who uses the facility lab to conduct their own work without supervision from facility staff. This rate covers general lab supplies.
- Walk-up lab supply use: $10/day
This rate applies to a trained user who uses the lab to store and maintain the ES cells without requiring staff time. Charge covers media, consumable plastics and use of lab equipment.
New users
- Hourly lab charge: $56/hour
This rate covers the time the facility staff spent working on a project for an investigator. This rate covers general lab supplies.
- Day Charge per user: $29/day
This rate covers the cost of facility staff storing and maintaining cell lines for a user. Charge covers media as well as general lab supplies.
