Biography

Ms. Dalton has been a Physician Assistant (PA) in the Functional GI & Motility Disorders Clinic for fourteen years. She spends most of her time in patient care or in research. In the Clinic, she often sees the patient first and then collaborates with Dr. Drossman in the patient’s ongoing care. She handles most of the telephone calls from patients, including medication management, addressing symptom concerns, and other matters. Her primary clinical interests include the management of treatment-resistant patients and the care of patients who have experienced chronic GI symptoms for many years with little or no relief or understanding of their conditions. Her research interests include new treatment options, secondary symptoms, effective patient education and successful patient-provider communications.
