How do I get involved?

AASC AIDS Walk + Ride

Help raise money for AIDS services in North Carolina by organizing or participating in this annual walk/ride event.  Contact Mariah Hoffman if you want to get involved.

Project Style

A Triangle HIV prevention and treatment program.  Volunteer opportunities vary from helping with one-day testing events to more involved projects.  Interested students should contact Justin Smith.

STEP on AIDS/STDs and Heart Disease

Teach local middle school students about AIDS/STDs and/or Heart Disease.  Contact Erin Steinbach if you have questions.

SHAC HIV Counseling

Provide confidential HIV testing and counseling at the Carrboro student-led SHAC clinic.  You must apply to become a counselor.  You will hear more information about applying later in the year.

Team Epi-Aid

"Team Epi-Aid is an award-winning volunteer student group at the UNC School of Public Health that provides students with the opportunity to gain applied public health experience by assisting with outbreak investigations and other public health emergencies, while at the same time providing North Carolina's local and state health departments with needed surge capacity."
