The Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research

The Center seeks to improve the health of individuals, families, and populations by understanding the problems, issues and alternatives in the design and delivery of health care services.

The Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research at UNC-CH offers a wide variety of opportunities for students and fellows from several disciplines to participate in multidisciplinary research. With support from the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research, the Center offers fellowships for both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral study. Post-doctoral fellowships funded by the National Institute of Mental Health are also available for post-doctoral study in the field of mental health services and systems research. The Center is host to NRSA fellowships in Health Services Research, Mental Health Services and Systems Research, and Primary Care Research. In addition, the Center and the UNC-CH School of Medicine co-sponsor the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program.
