Mission:

The Internal Medicine Interest Group (IMIG) is a student organization founded for the purpose of facilitating relationships and educational opportunities among medical students and Internal Medicine physicians.

Goals:

• Host educational and interactive events/meetings at the medical school and in members' homes
• Develop a cohort of physicians within Internal Medicine who are willing to be shadowed by medical students
• Work with the American College of Physicians (ACP) to connect UNC students with other students interested in Internal Medicine 
• Collaborate with other UNC-SOM groups to organize forums and match students with physician-mentors
