Community Advisory Board

UNC Community Advisory Board

The UNC Community Advisory Board (CAB) facilitates communication between the HIV/AIDS affected community and the UNC AIDS Clinical Trials Unit (ACTU) as well as the UNC HIV Vaccine Unit (HVTU)

The CAB is composed of HIV affected or infected volunteers from the community and provides input to the ACTU/HVTU staff regarding the selection and development of clinical trials undertaken at UNC and works to educate the community about clinical trials and other HIV/AIDS related issues. The CAB and ACTU staff share a common interest in balancing the needs of the HIV/AIDS community with the scientific goals of the ACTU/HVTU.
