David Weber, MD, MPH, is a professor of medicine, pediatrics, and epidemiology at UNC.
His clinical interests include hospital-acquired infections, cross-infection, disinfection and sterilization, new and emerging diseases, antibiotic-resistant pathogens, outbreaks, and bioterrorist agents. His research is focused on antibiotic-resistant pathogens, disease surveillance, nosocomial pneumonia, hand hygiene, and outbreak investigations. Other research interests include new and emerging infectious diseases (Pfiesteria, CJD, Norwalk agent), infections in child care centers, tuberculosis, and bioterrorist agents.
