STANDARD NOMENCLATURE IN THROMBOSIS AND HEMOSTASIS
The Scientific and Standardization Committee, the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), and the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry (IFCC) have developed a comprehensive nomenclature of quantities and units in thrombosis and hemostasis.
The purpose of this document is to facilitate unequivocal communication --despite differences in terminology among medical specialties and despite differences in languages and alphabets-- between databases and for use in publications.
First published in Thrombosis and Haemostasis in 1994 (volume 71, pages 375-394), the list is continuously updated as new recommendations are approved. Please click the link below to see the entire document.
