This figure shows the working strategy of the HAEC system. Our laboratory is currently working on several HAEC related projects as follow:
1. Strategy for the construction of human artificial episomal chromosomes.
2. Second generation HAEC vector for functional cloning.
3. Insertion of HAEC elements into bacterial clones via Cre-loxP recombination for functional studies.
4. Therapeutic gene delivery by infectious mammalian mini-herpesviruses of large DNA insert.
