12/18/23: The application is now open for 2024. Applications are due on February 9, 2024 by 11:59 PM. The induction and awards ceremony will be held in person on Community Service Day, April 12, 2024.

2/15/23: The application is now open for 2023. We look forward to reading your applications! Application are due on March 1, 2023 by 11:59pm. The induction and awards ceremony will be held on Community Service Day on April 14, 2023.

1/2/2020: The application is now open for 2020. We look forward to reading your applications! Application are due on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 by 11:59pm. The induction and awards ceremony will be held on Community Service Day on Monday, April 13, 2020.

4/15/2019: The UNC School of Medicine celebrated Community Service Day on Monday, April 15, 2019. 25 students were recognized at the Mayer Society Induction ceremony for their service contributions to UNC and the community.

3/19/2019: The 2019 Mayer Society Inductees have been selected and they are hard at work on their presentations for Community Service Day on April 15, 2019! Please join us in Old Clinic Auditorium at 12pm for the Induction Ceremony and Poster Presentation in Bondurant Lobby at 2:30pm.

1/13/2019: Application opens for 2019 applicants. We look forward to reading your applications and learning about your service projects. Completed applications are due on Sunday, January 27, 2019 by 11:59pm. The induction ceremony will be held on Community Service Day (date to be announced).
