Stage IV: Actin' Out

The Night of January 16th, a courtroom comedy in three acts written by Ayn Rand and adapted by me (Patrick Lang, Class of 2015) and Christopher Giardina (Class of 2015), is the second production staged by UNC SoM’s drama club, Stage IV: Actin Out. It stars a mix of medical and graduate students, with funding from the Medical Alumni Association and the Graduate and Professional School Student Federation.
On the night of January 16th, the playboy billionaire and prince of the world’s financial district Bjorn Faulkner is found dead in the streets, fifty stories below his Manhattan penthouse. His notorious mistress and efficient secretary, Karen Andre, is accused of the crime…but, everything may not be as it seems. Listen and observe as witness after witness is called to testify as to the true events of the night of January 16th. For it is YOU, ladies and gentlemen of the audience, who must decide on the guilt or innocence of Karen Andre.
