Instructions for viewing your 4th year schedule

The UNC School of Medicine has contracted with One45 (One45.com) software, Inc. to bring electronic curriculum management and scheduling to our school. From this point forward, all clinical curriculum scheduling information will be contained with the UNC-CH one45 site.

One45 will also be used to deliver and collect all evaluation forms as related to your clinical experiences and provide other useful features that hopefully will help streamline the dissemination of information and the completion of various requirements.

This year your preferences for your fourth year schedule were submitted on paper. The results of that process – your fourth year schedule - will be delivered to you via the One45 system.

To access that information, point your browser (Internet Explorer 6+ or Mozilla Firefox 1.3+) to:

https://www.one45.com/webeval/unc-ch/

Log in with your SOMid and your email password. (The same credentials you would use to check your email, change your email password, etc).

Once you log in, you will see your TO DOs. Your screen will look something like this:

To see your schedule, you may need to expand the Schedules Menu item on the left-hand side of the window.

Click the link for My Rotations. You will see your fourth year schedule. You may need to scroll down to see your whole schedule.

Please note that no requests for schedule changes can be taken through the One45 system. When you submit a request to Leanne Shook (leanne@med.unc.edu), she will make the appropriate modifications through the One45 system and contact you once the change has been made. You will see the changes, once made, by going to your online schedule within the One45 system.

Information on AHEC Housing, CPX and Drop/add:

Here is the link to the North Carolina Housing Request Application:  http://www.ncahec.net/students/Housing_Req.doc. Please be sure to look at the back of the application for specific instructions on where to send the application once you have completed it. Also, housing fills up quickly, so once your schedule is set, you should complete this application and send it on to the AHEC.

As many of you know, you are required to pass the Clinical Performance Exam (CPX) at the end of your third year. You will be registering on-line for the CPX exam test date. The deadline to register for a CPX test date is Tuesday, June 24, 2008. If your form is received after June 24th, 2008, you will be matched with one of the remaining dates. The website address to register is:  https://www.med.unc.edu/csc/forstudents/cpx/cpx-registration-1

Registration will open on Saturday, May 31, 2008.

Please note:  Students who have delayed a clerkship(s), your CPX date has been assigned. A letter with your assigned date has been placed in your mailbox.

Drop/add for fall and spring semester’s starts on Monday, June 2 and ends on Friday, June 13, 2008. If you would like to make an appointment, please call the receptionist in 1001 Bondurant Hall at 962-8335 or 962-8336. If you are scheduled to be out of town during the above dates, you can make your changes via telephone.

Only in emergency cases do we allow drop/add for the AHEC Acting Internship, the Ambulatory Care Selective (ACS) and the Outpatient Medicine Selective.  However, if you can find a student to switch these selectives with you, I will need to meet with both of you to make the selective switch. Also, please pay close attention to your Ambulatory Care Selective (ACS) course number. The Course Director for the Critical Care Selective (SURS) will allow drop/add in his courses as long as it is acceptable with both the service being dropped and the service requested.

If you want to see which courses are available before making your drop/add appointment, a COURSE AVAILABILITY REPORT will be ready for your preview in 1001 Bondurant Hall on Friday, May 30. This report will also be accessible on the web at http://www.med.unc.edu/md/fourthyear/rising-4th-year-scheduling

Each report will be updated at the end of every day during the drop/add period.

NOTE:  Please pay special attention to the dates of the required Capstone Course. This is included on each student schedule, and is a graduation requirement for students graduating in May 2009.
