How do you manage to stay balanced and healthy in spite of the busy med school schedule?

To stay balanced and healthy I gave up exercising and began to see my physician weekly with a new self-diagnosis. STI and diarrhea week have been a blast! I also did Insanity for an entire week and a half in September.

Why do you want to become an advocate and what three qualities will you bring to the job?

I think this question could best be answered in the form of a song by Rick Ashtley.

Please see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ

Just to review: I’m never gonna: 1. Give you up 2. Let you down 3. Run around and desert you (just to name a few…)

What’s the most important piece of advice you would give to an MS1 at the beginning of the year?

NEVER yell “BINGO!” when you finally feel the prostate while performing a rectal exam.

If you could have any super power, what would it be? What would you have people call you?

Superhero Power: The ability to pass our entire class every single test

Superhero Name: mari-wells_hedgpeth@med.unc.edu

If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Gunners.
