OB/GYN Memo to Visiting Students
4th Year Elective Requirements for OB/GYN Visiting Student Rotation
(UNC site only)
Requirements
In order to apply, students must be from a school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). To find out if your medical school is LCME accredited, you may go to website http://www.lcme.org/.
Students must mail the following items to:
OB/GYN Medical Education Office

Chapel Hill, NC 27599-7570
1. Medical school transcript
2. USMLE Step 1 scores or equivalent
3. Current curriculum vitae
Once all the items have been received and reviewed, students will be notified via email the status of their request. This email will be carbon copied to the Scheduling Assistant in Student Affairs. Students who are approved for the rotation will receive additional instruction on applying for a visiting student rotation at UNC. (Prior approval is not needed for OB/GYN offerings not in Charlotte.
Placement in a rotation slot is confirmed only by the Student Affairs office after the appropriate application process has been completed and the rotation dates have been approved.
