Baker joins Medical Foundation Loyalty Fund team

Marie Baker joined the Medical Foundation in March 2009 as assistant director of medical alumni development. Baker is working with the nearly 6,000 alumni of the School of Medicine to raise money for the Alumni Loyalty Fund, which supports medical student scholarships and student programs, as well as professorships at the School.

Previously, she worked in development at The Educational Foundation (The Rams Club). Baker came to Chapel Hill in 2002 for a sports marketing position, following two years in Albuquerque working in the University of New Mexico’s athletic department. Baker received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in Bloomington and graduated from UNC with an MA in Sport Administration in May 2007.
