The Loyalty Fund
The Loyalty Fund provides support for medical student scholarships, teaching awards and other important student, faculty and alumni programs, such as educational technology and the Health Sciences Library. These annual unrestricted funds from medical alumni are essential for maintaining the school’s margin of excellence.

The Excellence Fund
The Excellence Fund provides support for programs in UNC Hospitals and the School of Medicine through annual, unrestricted gifts from non-medical alumni. These gifts from parents, corporations and other friends provide support for patient care, research and medical education.
