Memorial/Honorary Gifts
A meaningful way to remember a friend or loved one and express sympathy to their family is by making a gift in memory of them. You can advise friends and family how to make this tribute in the obituary: “In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Medical Foundation of NC, Inc., 880 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Chapel Hill, NC 27514. Please note on the check that it is a memorial for [name] to the [fund or department]."
Or you can send a donation and note it is a memorial, the name of the individual, the fund or area to which it is designated, and include the name and address of the individual we should notify about your gift (ie. family member).
You can make a gift to express your appreciation by honoring someone special – a family member, a friend, a colleague, a caregiver.
For all memorial and honorary gifts, we will send an acknowledgement letter to you and a letter to the honoree or designated family member to let them know of your thoughtful gift (the gift amount is not included).
