Charitable Lead Trust
With a charitable lead trust, you can create a current income interest for the Medical Foundation and provide for transfer of the trust assets to your children after a specified number of years. A charitable lead trust is an irrevocable trust to which you would transfer assets to the trust, and the Medical Foundation would receive payments from the trust for the number of years you specify. At the end of that period, the trust assets would be transferred to the beneficiary or beneficiaries you select.
