Sriram Machineni Dr. Machineni is a new faculty member in Endocrinology. He conducted clinical research in diabetes and weight loss surgery at the New York Nutrition Obesity Research Center. He completed a clinical and research fellowship in Obesity Medicine and Nutrition at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and served in the role of Assistant in Medicine at MGH and an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He conducts translational clinical research aimed at finding novel therapies for obesity and is an organizing member of the Annual Blackburn course in Obesity Medicine, which teaches physicians from around the world about the management of obesity.

Dr. Machineni served as the chief medical resident at the Buffalo General hospital and later in the roles of Director of the Primary Medicine and the Weight Management clinics. He attended medical school at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and completed his residency in Internal Medicine from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
