Subjects with Fecal Incontinence

Participation Participation will include the initial evaluation, an introductory meeting with the therapist, six treatment sessions (one every two weeks) and three follow-up sessions.

Purpose The purpose of this research study is to study treatment options for patients with fecal incontinence.
Requirements
  • Subjects must be 16 years of age or older
  • Subjects with incontinence must have recurrent uncontrolled passage of >1 teaspoon of fecal matter, at least 1/week for at least one month
  • Patients with staining of underwear only or incontinence or flatus only will not be included
Compensation Each participant will be paid $50 for each of three follow-up sessions at 3, 6, and 12 months, post-treatment, for a total of $150.
