The goal of the Program in Translational Medicine (UNC Med Into Grad Program) is to prepare students to work effectively in a clinical environment, identify important unanswered questions relevant to human health and design and perform research to answer these questions. Students who successfully complete the required program activities will receive a Certificate in Translational Medicine concurrent with the completion of their PhD from one of the basic science programs in the School of Medicine. All graduate students are invited to participate in program activities; however stipend support and certification are limited.
