Dr. Tony Richardson receives the Irving S. Sigal Memorial Award

The Microbiology department would like to congratulate Dr. Tony Richardson on being presented with the Irving S. Sigal Memorial Award. The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) and the Merck Corporation bestows this award on young scientists for excellence in basic research in medical microbiology and infectious diseases. Recipients must be nominated and be within five years of completing their post-doctoral training. It is limited to up to two recipients each year, and the recipients win $2500 as well as a commemorative piece. Congratulations Tony!
