About MSTL

 

The Division of Medical Sciences Teaching Laboratories (MSTL) supports both lecture and laboratory teaching of the basic medical sciences.This support is provided to a broad range of programs within the Division of Health Affairs including, medicine, biomedical engineering, dentistry, dental hygiene, nursing, pharmacy, public health, the graduate school and programs in medical allied health (e.g. physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and hearing sciences, radiology, clinical laboratory science, etc). Support is also provided to post graduate and continuing education programs in all these areas. Our primary mission is to support basic medical science teaching by providing: adequate and appropriate space, curriculum support, necessary equipment and supplies, innovative technology and expertise to ensure teaching excellence for approximately 2,000 students per semester.  (MSTL is under the auspices of the Executive Associate Dean for Medical Education.)
