The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill AIDS Training and Education Center (NCATEC) offers invaluable one-on-one experience in HIV/STD care to the licensed professional who is new to HIV/STD care, or who desires a skills update or refresher.

Individualized first-hand clinical experience is provided for:

  • Physicians
  • Nurse Practitioners/Nurses (RNs/LPNs)
  • Physician Assistants

There is NO FEE for this training. This experience is open to individuals in private practice, public clinics, and other settings who meet requirements and criteria maintained by the NCATEC and the precepting organization (licensure, PPD and other infectious disease screening).

All rotation experiences must be arranged through NCATEC, with appropriate agreements between preceptor and learner set up in advance.
