Dr. Deneen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neuroscience and Center for Gene and Cell Therapy. His research interests include: delineating the molecular mechanisms that control neural stem cell differentiation into glial cells during embryogenesis, translating the basic mechanisms that control gliogenesis to glioma biology and treatment, and relating the basic mechanisms that govern gliogenesis to neuro-degenerative disease. Dr. Deneen's host is Dr. Mark Zylka.
The title of his seminar will be:
"Patterning and Gliogenesis: A journey through space and time in the CNS"
